1. Where every price comes from
Every price is copied from the provider’s own pricing page or official price API. We store the page address and the date we checked it, and show both next to the figure. A price without a source is not published: the provider shows “Contact for pricing” instead. We never estimate, round or “approximate” a price.
Facts other than prices (headquarters, certifications, government programmes) are shown only when they have a public source. Where a fact is the provider’s own statement that we have not checked independently, it is labelled “provider’s claim”.
2. How prices are made comparable
- GPU cloud is compared in US$ per GPU-hour. When a provider prices a whole multi-GPU server, we divide by the number of GPUs; when it already prices per GPU, we don’t.
- VPS is compared in US$ per month. Hourly prices are multiplied by 730 hours. The headline table uses each provider’s cheapest plan with at least 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and 80 GB SSD, so plans are compared like for like.
- Currencies are converted with one exchange-rate table, refreshed daily from a public rate API. The original figure, currency and unit are always shown beside the converted one.
- Spot, committed and reserved prices are shown in their own columns and never mixed into the headline on-demand price. A committed price is always shown with its term.
- Introductory and promotional prices are ranked at their renewal price. Government-subsidised rates (for example IndiaAI Mission) are never treated as a provider’s list price.
- Taxes: most providers publish prices excluding GST/VAT. Where the page says so, the row is marked “+ tax”.
3. How tables are sorted
Comparison tables are sorted by the published on-demand price in the unit above, lowest first. Offers without a published price always sort after every priced offer — not publishing a price never ranks a provider higher. Nothing else changes the order: there is no hidden score, and no provider can pay to move up.
4. Freshness
Each row shows the date its price was checked. A price older than 90 days is marked as such; one older than 180 days is treated as unpublished until it is checked again.
5. Money, and what it can’t buy
PalCloud may earn referral fees when you click “Visit”, may sell clearly labelled featured placement, and may be paid by a provider when we pass on a quote request (shared with up to 3 matching providers, as stated on the form). Featured providers appear in a separate, labelled box above the table; the table order itself is unaffected. Full details: how PalCloud makes money.
6. Mistakes
If a price is wrong or out of date, email support@palcloud.ai with the page link. Providers can send corrections the same way — with a link to the public page that shows the new price.
